Hiking Trail

The easy hike starts at the Moni Alm car park. Walking in a southerly direction, you’ll need only half an hour to reach the shores of the Suttensee. The circular route also takes half an hour and is buggie-friendly.

Crossing the river Rottach via a wooden bridge, visitors will find several shady benches along the way. The Rottach flows through the Suttensee lake and down into the Rottach waterfalls until it finally flows into Lake Tegernsee.

The popular Suttenrunde cross-country trail runs around the lake in winter

  1. Can I drive to the Suttensee?

    The lake can be reached by car via the Entenrottach toll road starting in Rottach-Egern. Parking can be found at the Moni Alm, a short walk from the lake.

  2. Can I swim in the Suttensee?

    No, bathing is prohibited.
