Tour Description
The hike starts and ends at the hiking car park at Sonnenbichl. This car park is a good choice for families with a buggy due to the wide forest path. First you cross a bridge and soon reach the shady Zeiselbachtal on the wide forest path. The path is well signposted and you simply follow the forest path to the Aueralm.
The ascent takes about 1.5 hours and is only a bit steep at the top. Now the goal has been reached and from the Aueralm the view even extends to the Wendelstein on nice days.

There are two options for descending towards Tegernsee. Either on the ascent path – this path should be chosen if you are traveling with a stroller. Without a pram or if you don’t want to descend the same route, return to the starting point via the Wachselmoosalm and the Wachselmooseck. This descent runs a little further south and is also well signposted. In the meantime you always have a wonderful panoramic view over Lake Tegernsee. The lower section is steep, slippery after rain and not suitable for prams. After about 1.5 hours of descent you reach the hikers’ car park.
